Stronghold ("we", "us") makes the Stronghold app for iPhone. This policy explains what the app keeps on your device, what it sends to us, and what it never touches. There is no account and no login, and we never ask for your email address.
- You never create an account, and we never ask who you are.
- Your first name, your plan and your day-to-day progress stay on your phone.
- We do receive your answers to the setup questions, tied to a random number, not to you.
- We do not sell anything, do not advertise to you, and do not build a profile of you across other apps or websites.
What stays on your device
The first name you type, your generated plan, your streak, your daily pledges, and everything you do inside the app after setup are stored only in your phone's local storage. Your first name is never transmitted to us. Deleting the app removes all of it.
What the app sends to us
To know where people get stuck and where the app fails them, the app sends us a small stream of events. Each one carries a random identifier created on your phone when you install the app. That identifier is not your name, your email, your Apple ID or your device's advertising ID, and it cannot be traced back to you by us or by anyone else.
What travels with it:
- Which setup screen you saw, in what order, and how long you spent on it.
- The options you chose in the setup questions, including how often you view pornography, how long it has been part of your life, when temptation tends to hit, what usually starts it, and what it costs you.
- Whether you allowed notifications, and whether a subscription purchase succeeded, was cancelled, or failed.
We are telling you this plainly because those answers are personal. We use them for one thing: to see which questions people abandon and to make the app better. They are never sold, never used for advertising, never shared with anyone outside the services listed below, and never published.
What we never collect
- Your name, email address, phone number or contacts.
- Your location.
- Your advertising identifier, and any tracking of you across other companies' apps or websites.
- Your browsing history, or any record of what you looked at outside this app.
- Your payment details. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple, and we never see your card.
The tools inside the app
The safe browser inside Stronghold is a demonstration. It does not load real websites, and it does not filter, block or monitor anything outside the app. It exists to show you how the Intervention works before you need it. Stronghold does not read your screen, your other apps, or your browsing.
Who else is involved
- Supabase hosts the database where the events above are stored.
- Superwall displays the subscription screen and collects standard device and app-usage information in order to do so.
- Apple processes every payment and manages your subscription. We never receive your payment information.
The app contains no advertising SDKs.
Your control
Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone. Because the events we hold are tied only to a random identifier, we cannot look you up by name or email, but if you write to us from the address below and describe when you used the app, we will do our best to find and delete the matching records.

Stronghold is intended for adults.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and post the revised version at this address.
